Stuart is currently living and working in Milan. He is among other things an Art teacher, postgraduate student of Anthropology, painter and conceptual/environmental artist.
Originally from North Wales, Stuart studied graphic design at City College in Manchester before going to complete a BA in Visual Art at the University of Salford, he was also an Erasmus Scholar in Fine Arts at the Universidad do Porto.
Initially Stuart's art practise took him to such diverse locations as Amsterdam, Manchester and the mountains of Wales and he participated in residencies in the Islington Mill Gallery in Salford and at Artoll in Germany. However, tired of making empty gestures, in 2002 Stuart left the art world behind to volunteer in Sudan.
Since his return from Africa he has obtained his teaching qualifications from the University of Wales and taught in Mexico City for four years before moving to Milan in the Summer of 2008.
